Services

Services are management and monitoring components. They may start and stop jobs, monitor the file system, the CPU performance, etc.

Currently the following services have been implemented:

PortManager

Assign and manage TCP/IP ports. This helps reduce the amount of configuration required by applications which communicate per TCP/IP.

VersantManager

Manage Versant databases, event engines, backups, etc.

ApplicationManager

Automatically start and stop applications or a workflow of applications.

Monitor that required applications are running.(TODO)

FileSystemManager

Monitor disk space.

Run cleanup tasks (TODO)

Monitor file activity (TODO)

HostManager

Monitor host performance (TODO)

LogFileGrepper

Monitor contents of log files (TODO)
